This policy explains how and why WinSYS City Campus communicates with prospective and current students, and the choices available to you. By providing your contact details to us, you agree to receive the essential communications described below.
1. Channels we use
We may contact you by email, SMS, WhatsApp/Messenger/Instagram, phone call, or in-app notification within the student/parent portal.
2. Essential communications
While you are an applicant or enrolled student, we send communications necessary to your studies: enrolment and application updates, class and exam schedules, assignment and results notifications, fee and payment reminders, security/account notices, and important administrative announcements. These are not optional while you remain enrolled, as they are necessary to deliver your education and manage your account.
3. Marketing communications
We only send promotional content โ new course announcements, events, offers or newsletters โ to those who have opted in. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time without affecting the essential communications described above.
4. WhatsApp & Meta messaging
Where we message you via WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram, we follow Meta's Business Messaging policies. This means that outside of an active 24-hour conversation window, we can only reach out using a pre-approved message template, rather than a free-form message โ this is a platform rule that protects you from unsolicited business messaging, not a WinSYS restriction.
5. Our commitment
We aim to keep communications relevant and not excessive, and we never sell your contact details to third parties for their own marketing.
6. How to update your preferences
You can update your communication preferences, or opt out of marketing messages, at any time by contacting info@winsys.lk, replying "STOP" to an SMS/WhatsApp marketing message where offered, or via your student/parent portal settings where available.
7. Record of consent
We keep a record of when and how you gave (or withdrew) marketing consent, so we can honour your preference and demonstrate compliance if asked.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
