Fundamental knowledge and skills for those pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology β equivalent to the 2nd year of a degree.
On completion, learners will be able to:
β’ Demonstrate core knowledge of computer systems, programming and databases.
β’ Apply software-development and web technologies to build solutions.
β’ Manage IT infrastructure, networks and information-security fundamentals.
β’ Analyse organisational IT requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
β’ Conduct applied IT project work using professional practices.
Open to learners aged 18+ who hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g. GCE A/L) or equivalent. Mature learners (21+) with relevant work experience are also considered. Non-native English speakers should evidence English language competency (e.g. IELTS 6.0 or equivalent). Progression into the Level 5 units requires successful completion of Level 4 or an equivalent Level 4 qualification.
