Fundamental knowledge and skills for those pursuing a cyber-security-focused bachelor's degree β equivalent to the 2nd year of a degree.
On completion, learners will be able to:
β’ Identify, assess and mitigate cyber-security threats and vulnerabilities.
β’ Apply cryptography, network-security and secure-architecture principles.
β’ Conduct security testing, incident response and digital-forensics fundamentals.
β’ Evaluate governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
β’ Develop security policies aligned to organisational and legal requirements.
Open to learners aged 18+ who hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g. GCE A/L) or equivalent. Mature learners (21+) with relevant work experience are also considered. Non-native English speakers should evidence English language competency (e.g. IELTS 6.0 or equivalent). Progression into the Level 5 units requires successful completion of Level 4 or an equivalent Level 4 qualification.
