About this programme
This qualification develops learners pursuing a career in cyber security and risk management, building the cyber security skills required by organisations globally and developing the team leaders, managers and leaders of the future. It is a recognised UK qualification (120 credits, TQT 1200).

• Cyber Security Threat and Risk
• Network Security and Data Communications
• Database Security and Computer Programming
• Incident Response, Investigations and Forensics
• Security Strategy: Laws, Policies and Implementation
• Optional (choose 1): Cyber Security Threats and Risk: Banking and Finance, or Cyber Wars
What you will learn
On completion (official Qualifi learning outcomes), learners will be able to:
1. Read and use technical and security literature (incl. threat intelligence) with full understanding, and think independently to solve overarching cyber security issues.
2. Apply subject knowledge to familiar and unfamiliar problems in cyber security and digital risk management.
3. Recognise the moral and ethical issues of practice and research, including for investigations, audits and incident response.
4. Appreciate the interdisciplinary nature of cyber security across organisations, services and supply chains.
5. Give clear, accurate accounts and engage in credible debate with specialists and non-specialists.
6. Apply transferable skills including project management and incident response to meet changing risks.
7. Progress to further professional development through study or career.
8. Understand and respect the global nature of the cyber threat environment and international business practices.
Entry requirements
Learners are typically aged 18+ and hold at least one of: a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent; GCE A-levels in 3 subjects or equivalent; or are mature learners (21+) with relevant work experience. Non-native English speakers require IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent).
